Widforss and Milrab make up Open Air Group's e-commerce division and operate two strong retail concepts in outdoor, hunting, and active lifestyle, with a product range of approximately 25,000 items and a turnover of 500 million SEK. The companies have a total of around 60 employees with offices in Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki, as well as a warehouse in Morgongåva. Milrab was founded in 2005 in Norway, and Widforss has roots dating back to 1729. Over the past year, the business has transformed into a pure e-commerce player focused on a scalable platform, relevant assortment, and a top-notch customer experience.
As Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Widforss & Milrab, you will have overall responsibility for the company's operational core and play a key role in the continued scaling of the business. You will report to the CEO and be part of the management team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing the supply chain, warehouse operations, last-mile, technical purchasing, master data, and customer service. Your mission is to create a scalable, cost-effective, and data-driven operations organization that enables growth – without compromising customer experience or quality. You will lead a team of approximately 30 employees through three direct reports.
The role is suitable for someone who is both strategic and operational, who enjoys being close to the business and is driven by improvement work, clear KPIs, and strong leadership.
Your main responsibilities
- Own and develop the company's supply chain, warehouse, and fulfillment operations together with the warehouse manager
- Ensure efficient inbound, picking, packing, and return flows as well as high delivery precision
- Be responsible for last-mile strategy, transport procurement, freight costs, and delivery experience in the Nordics
- Overall responsibility for technical purchasing, product data, article structure, and master data in all systems (ERP, WMS, PIM, e-commerce)
- Ensure high data quality and robust, automated processes for article and supplier management
- Lead and develop the customer service function with a focus on customer satisfaction, efficiency, and increased automation (including AI)
- Set goals, budgets, and KPIs for operations and follow up on efficiency, costs, and quality
- Be an active and driving part of the management team and work closely with Commercial/Category to ensure assortment availability and customer experience
To succeed in the role of COO at Widforss & Milrab, you have solid experience in operational leadership roles within e-commerce, with a strong emphasis on supply chain, warehousing, and logistics in a Nordic context. You have had overall responsibility for complex flows from supplier to customer and are accustomed to balancing customer experience, cost efficiency, and scalability.
You have worked in growth or transformation environments and thrive in roles where you combine strategic responsibility with an operational, hands-on approach. You are comfortable working closely with the management team and the business while having the ability to dive into details regarding processes, systems, and KPIs.
We see that you have:
- 5–10+ years of experience in senior operational roles within e-commerce or consumer-facing businesses
- Documented experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, last-mile, and transport procurement
- Experience in leading and developing customer service teams, focusing on customer satisfaction, efficiency, SLAs, and continuous improvements
- Good understanding of master data, article structure, PIM/ERP/WMS, or technical purchasing
- Experience working data-driven with clear KPIs related to delivery, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Experience leading and developing managers and larger teams
As a person, you are analytical, structured, and decisive, with a clear drive for improvement and the ability to create engagement and direction within the organization.
Widforss & Milrab is a workplace where the interest in outdoor life and hunting is at the forefront. Here, you will take responsibility and develop in an environment characterized by commitment and passion for the business. Sustainability, inclusion, and a good working environment are important values for the company. Here, you will have the opportunity to become an important part of the business and grow in your professional role.
The position is based at Widforss's headquarters in central Stockholm. Start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible.
